1 Bedroom Cottage in Smith's, Smiths

The pool house has a queen bed and its own bathroom + shower. It is next to our house in a spacious yard in a quiet residential neighborhood. The bus stop is a 3 minute walk, while the beautiful John Smith's Bay beach is a 5 minute walk and the grocery store is 12 minutes away. We have a Labrador on the property so this is not a good fit unless you like dogs. :)
The kitchen area includes a small fridge, a Keurig coffee maker, electric kettle, hot plate, microwave and a toaster oven. There is no oven in the unit. There is a gas grill that is available for your use.
We also have another rental unit on the property, which is great if you want to travel with another couple/ friends. It is VRBO 969757 - please check it out! The other unit has a stove too.
You will have the pool house all to yourselves during the stay. You are also welcome to enjoy the pool which is right outside your door! It also makes this property unsuitable for children under 12. There is plenty of parking should you decide to rent a 50cc motor bike or a Twizy electric mini car. We also have a Twizy charging station on the property for your convenience.
We have towels, beach towels, iron, hair dryer and shampoo all here for your use. There is cable TV (includes HBO and Showtime), free wifi and air conditioning/ dehumidifier/ heat.
Bermuda's largest nature reserve, Spittal Pond is a 10 minute walk from our property. It is a great, diverse walk. There are 2 very good restaurants in Flatts Village about a mile away, Rustico and the Village Pantry. Flatts is also home to the Bermuda Aquarium. Collectors Hill area is about a mile away and has a few restaurants, a pharmacy, grocery store and a gas station. Hamilton and St. Georges are each about a 15 minute taxi or bike ride away and offer many restaurants and shopping.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the Pool House. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower strong and the outside space particularly nice. Although the kitchen area is small with basic facilities the new plug in cooking ring is a game changer for preparing simple meals. It was really appreciated. A couple of slightly larger saucepans and a bread knife would be great too!Both Chris and Gail were very friendly and helpful and made us feel so comfortable. They offered advice on restaurants and places to visit, (the aquarium and zoo in Flatts was fab!), and helped us out on a couple of occasions too. Bermuda is a beautiful place with friendly, warm and genuine people. It is very expensive - as we expected, but has much to offer. Stay at Chris and Gail's place. You'll gave a great time and won't be disappointed.
